Redesmere Lake, Siddington

Redesmere is a lake beside the A34 at Siddington, just over a mile from Capesthorne Hall — the closest place on our list to Lapland UK Manchester, only a few minutes’ drive away.

There’s free parking at the water’s edge (follow Redesmere Lane past Siddington Village Hall), and it’s a lovely spot for little legs to stretch before or after your visit, with views across the water towards the Capesthorne estate. Longer circular walks of around three to four miles link the lake with Siddington and the edge of the Capesthorne estate.

Paths can be muddy in November and December, so wellies are a good idea.
