Lyme (National Trust), Disley

Lyme is a large National Trust estate on the edge of the Peak District near Disley, with a grand house, formal gardens and a deer park, around 35 minutes’ drive from Lapland UK Manchester at Capesthorne Hall.

The deer park is a spectacular place for a winter walk and a chance to spot red deer. It’s a little further than most of our picks, so it works best as part of a full weekend rather than on the day of your Lapland visit.
